Nearly 100 acres of green pasture are home to our herd, where the grass stays lush and the days move with the rhythm of the seasons. We rotate the cattle through different pastures so the land can rest and renew, just as nature intended. Fresh, cold well water flows from pumps across the farm, keeping everyone hydrated and comfortable. And watching over it all is “Little Marco” — our steadfast guard donkey — whose sharp eyes and calm presence mean the herd sleeps soundly under his protection. In 2025 alone, we welcomed 13 calves, so the coming years promise to be busy ones for Marco — and full of life and energy for Thornley Farm. Come Taste the Best Beef in Berkeley!
